Description

Tall Ships arrival on the Gloucester & Sharpness Canal

The tall ships will be arriving at Gloucester Docks on Wednesday 1st & Thursday 2nd June ready for the Festival.

Please ensure priority is given to the tall ships at all times and follow the advice of Canal & River Trust bridge-keepers who will be assisting with passage. If you have a VHF Radio please keep this switched on for regular updates. (Channel 74)

Boats moored along the canal are advised that the tall ships may cause a significant wash and should consider this when mooring their vessels.

Visitor Moorings (in the Dock)

All visitor moorings within the dock basin will be suspended from 9am on Thursday 2nd June until 12pm on Monday 6th June.

Boats who have won a mooring through our ballot process must be on their mooring no later than Thursday 4pm (2nd June 2022) and cannot leave their mooring until Monday morning (6th June 2022)

Visitor Moorings (outside the Dock)

Bakers Quay 48hr moorings (south of Llanthony Bridge) will only have 25m of mooring available, on a first come first served basis. No booking is possible. If you are planning to visit the Tall Ships event, we strongly advise you call 01452 312143 (Llanthony Bridge 8am to 7pm) in advance to check availability.
