Kennet & Avon Canal - Lock 54, Cadley Lock, Lock 55, Crofton Top Lock

Further to the notice below, we are further restricting opening hours of the Crofton Flight in order to conserve water.

From 16th June the flight will be available from 10:00 until 16:00 daily.

We will continue to monitor the situation closely and may need to reduce hours further as the summer progresses.

Please be aware that we will be proactively managing water resources again this year, which will mean that Cadley Lock (54) and Crofton Top Lock (55) will close at 16:30 and reopen at 08:00 each day, between 1st July and 1st October. This will help us recover potential water shortfalls in our busiest period with the aim of preventing shortages. 

We will monitor levels continuously throughout this time and update this notice should further restrictions be required.
