Engineers have attended and carried out an assessment at Lock 36, Turnerwood Top Lock.
The Lock has a planned winter stoppage due to commence 08-11-2021 to replace the top and bottom gates, therefore the Lock will be closed until the works are completed.
The completion date is currently scheduled for 17-12-2021 at 16:00.
Any craft that require passage through Turnerwood Top Lock 36 that are currently between Norwood Tunnel and Lock 36, please contact 0303 040 4040 Mon- Fri between 9am and 5pm to arrange passage, 24hrs notice is required.

Description
The bottom gate heel post at Lock 36, Turnerwood Top Lock has snapped therefore it is closed to navigation.
Engineers will be attending site on Wednesday the 22nd of September to carry out an assessment.
Once the assessment is complete this notice will be updated accordingly.
