This stoppage has been cancelled. Unfortunately, these works are no longer taking place this winter. The Trust is working with the Third-Party contractors to schedule these works at another time. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Description
A stoppage is required adjacent to Lock 3 of the Ashton Canal.
The purpose is to construct a new pedestrian / cycleway bridge from the towpath to the offside to create better access to and from the new Islington Tram Stop and the proposed future developments in the surrounding area.
The works will incorporate the realignment of the immediate towpath and therefore require a towpath closure also.
