Whilst we’ve had some positive discussions with local council flood officers and others on finding that long-term fix, we’re still some way from this, so sadly the toilet and Elsan will have to stay shut for now. As soon as we know any more, we’ll update the notice, and certainly by November.
There’s still a warm welcome for visitors at Tyrley, where our team of staff and volunteers work hard to keep it beautiful. This summer we’ve carried out small fencing repairs and the Bin compound is about to be refurbished by contractors during Autumn; do chat to the lock keepers if you spot them, they’ll be able to let you know about our other plans locally.

We have now completed our investigations; but the toilet and Elsan will remain closed until we are able to secure a long-term solution with other stakeholders. Please bear with us in the meantime.
The water point and refuse disposal point are still open. A further update will be provided in August.

The toilet and Elsan at Tyrley remain closed while we conclude our investigations into a permanent solution to the ongoing issues with flooding in this area.
The water point and refuse disposal point are still open.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused. A further update will be provided by 14th May 2021.
Your nearest alternative Customer Service Facilities are by Belton Road Bridge in Market Drayton (North) and the service block at Norbury Junction (South).
Description
The facility is closed due to the flooding that occurred last night after heavy rainfall.
It will be closed until further notice as the flood has filled the septic tank with flood water. There is no access to the toilet or Elsan.
The water point and refuse disposal point are still open.
An update will be posted as soon as we are able to advise further, thank you.
