Customer Notice – Braunston Junction Urgent: Low Water Levels – Please Help Us Save Water We are currently facing low water levels at Braunston Junction. Despite using all available resources to maintain navigation, the continued dry weather and high demand is placing further strain on the system.  Levels have now recovered on the Braunston Summit and we will continue to supply as much water as possible. To help avoid further disruption, we urgently ask all boaters to use water as efficiently as possible:

  • Share locks wherever possible
  • Wait for other boats before using locks
  • Avoid unnecessary use of water
  • Make sure all paddles and gates are fully closed after use

If water demand does not reduce, we may have to introduce temporary restrictions on the Calcutt and Hillmorton lock flights to protect navigation. For further guidance on how you can help, please refer to the Thrift Code – a set of simple actions boaters can take to save water: 🔗 Saving Water When You're Boating – Thrift Code Thank you for your support and cooperation.
