Please be advised third-party contractors are onsite between Lock 2 and Lock 3 on the Ashton Canal to install a new cycle-bridge over the Ashton Canal, adjacent to Lock 3.
These works are due to be finished on Friday 27 June.
To be able to maintain a safe working environment, the towpath will be closed during these works, a diversion route will be in place.
Whilst this will have no impact on canal navigation, we politely request all customers to approach the area with caution and to listen to any advice that may be given by third-party contractors onsite for your safety.
