Following improvement work carried out in 2024, contractors will be returning to complete surfacing on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal towpath between Hirst Mill Swing Bridge (207) and Scourer Lane Bridge (205).
Restrictions may be in place between 12/05/2025 to 30/05/2025.
The towpath will be closed between Hirst Mill Swing Bridge (207) and Dowley Aqueduct to enable laying of the towpath surface from 19/05/2025 to 30/05/2025 (weather permitting).
An alternative route is available via public footpath 10.
