Alfred Bagnall \& Sons Ltd on behalf of Cadent Gas Ltd will commence remediation works to a gas pipeline that spans both the canal and railway line from 8th February for 18 weeks. The first three days of the works will be carried out over three weekends: 08/02/25-09/02/25,15/02/25-16/02/25, and 22/02/25-23/02/25 between the hours of 11pm and 5am to set up the scaffolding. A similar closure will be required at the end of the works for the removal of the scaffolding, expected to be on or around the 17th July. During this time contractors will temporarily stop work to allow the safe passage of boats and pedestrians. Although this is in close proximity to the canal it will not affect the navigation or towpath, however, please be aware of increased activity in the area. W3W https://w3w.co/cats.tumblers.bunch
