Navigation Closure: Lock 52 to Lock 57, Blackburn Flight, Leeds & Liverpool Canal

Whilst carrying out the planned maintenance works to Lock 56 on the Blackburn Lock Flight, Leeds & Liverpool canal, it has been noted that further works are required.

Whilst navigation will resume tomorrow as per the current opening times, 10am to 4pm, daily, last entry at 2:30pm, navigation along the Blackburn lock flight will be closed on Friday, 4 November to complete these works.

To maintain a safe working environment, and to ensure the safety of our customers, padlocks will be placed on Lock 52 and Lock 57 to prevent access on to the flight.  

Please be advised our contractors will be onsite between Lock 52 and Lock 57 on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal to carry out maintenance work to Lock 56 on Monday, 31 October.
