Please note that the Environment Agency have published an update regarding the restoration work at Blakes Lock 107.
Due to the extreme weather conditions experienced recently, there is a delay in the programme of works at Blakes Lock from 23 March to the 27 March.
However, there will be an opportunity for assisted passage between 9.30am and 4pm from 23 to 27 March.
The lock will be closed each day from 4pm to 9.30am the following morning. The lock will be fully open on 28 March.

Description
Please be advised that the Environment Agency will be carrying out important restoration work to Blakes Lock from 30 October 2017 to 23 March 2018. The work will include: repairing and re-sheeting lock gates, refurbishing lock chamber walls, replacing rubbing timbers and general repairs to the lock site area.
Blakes Lock is located just beyond the eastern edge of the Kennet & Avon Canal navigation, where the River Kennet flows into the River Thames. It is owned and maintained by the Environment Agency. Navigating to join or leave the River Thames will not be possible while the restoration work is underway.
The restoration work to Blakes Lock is part of the Environment Agency's River Thames investment programme.
