Taking place on Saturday 30th March, starting at 10am until 12pm from Brunswick Lock, the guided walk will help people and their pooches enjoy some gentle exercise and fresh air, and find out a bit more about the canal on their doorstep. The walk will take approximately two hours and will be led by a member of the local Canal & River Trust team who will talk about some of the sights and stories of the area along the way.

There will also be stalls from local businesses and charities, including a local vet's practice and dog trainer, plus freebies for the canines.

Sara Ponting, volunteer team leader at Canal & River Trust, said: “Taking a waterside walk is so good for us, not only because of the physical benefits of being active but the mental benefits too.

“Our previous walks have been really successful so we're delighted to continue the series into spring and help more people find out why life is better by water.”

The walk is free and there is car parking and a train station nearby. Postcode for event is L3 4EL. For more information, contact: [email protected]
