What we're looking for...
At National Waterways Museum we are looking for young people with an interest in history, museums or tourism; to join our youth panel.
Your role will be to advise the museum on new projects, exhibitions and events, as well as to review and promote these activities.

You will make a real difference to the museum and your locality; by helping us to deliver activities that interest and benefit local people of all ages. You will ensure that young voices are heard and listened to. You will implement real, positive change within the museum.
Who we're looking for...
We are looking for young people who want to commit to making a difference, who can spare a few hours every two weeks, who are able to get to the museum, who have a variety of interests and who would be comfortable meeting with our management team.
The skills and experience you will gain...
We can offer you experiences that will enhance your CV or UCAS application. We can also offer you the opportunity to learn new skills around curating museum objects, marketing, museum education, archives, exhibition design and communication.
Activities you'll be able to do...
Help choose our temporary exhibitions, post reviews on our social media, work on museum projects, get involved with marketing, learn new skills, run social action campaigns, fundraise, advise the museum management team.
