The charity making life better by water

Have your say on the future of the Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal

People in Wales are being encouraged to give their ideas on how to improve the historic Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal, with the Trust holding a user forum next week (17 October).

The forum, held by Glandŵr Cymru – the Canal & River Trust in Wales – will give people a chance to find out more about the people who keep the canal running, and talk about ways it could be improved in future.

Kevin Phillips, supervisor at Glandŵr Cymru, said: "The Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal is much loved and really well supported. We want people around the waterway to have real input into how it's run and improved in the future, and the forums have been designed to get people's ideas. If you have any questions, or would like to get involved in volunteering on the canal, it would be great to see you."

The forum will take place at 6pm on Monday 17 October at The Old Rectory Country Hotel, Llangattock, Crickhowell Powys NP8 1PH. To reserve a place or suggest topics for discussion in advance, please contact South Wales & Severn or call 01452 318008.
