Hinckley to Sutton Cheney Wharf canoe trail

Enjoy a lock free paddle along the scenic Ashby Canal.

Distance: 6 miles

Start point: Lime Kilns Pub, LE10 3ED

End Point: Sutton Cheney Wharf, CV13 0AL

Put your boat in the water by the pub and then turn to your right away from the A5 road bridge. You'll then paddle through the outskirts of Hinckley

Half a mile on from Hinckley there will be a branch in the canal. Keep to the left and paddle under the bridge.

A mile later you'll reach Trinity Marina where you can take advantage of the pub.

The trail then travels underneath the A47 and past the Triumph motorcycle factory.

Your end point is Sutton Cheney Wharf where you can get out of the canal.
