The Shropshire Union Canal and the River Dee both flow through the centre of the historic walled city of Chester. They meet at Chester Basin.
The medieval streets, magnificent cathedral and dramatic Roman amphitheatre are all memorable sights. The surrounding countryside is also stunning and ideal for exploring by bike.

Chester Station is a 5 minute walk to the nearest towpath on the Shropshire Union Canal. Then a further 10 minute stroll along the towpath to the basin
