Lock 6, Weston Lock, Twerton, Kennet & Avon Canal

The gate replacements and repairs have been completed at Lock 6. 

Unfortunately, however, due to Covid within the team, there has been a delay in the removal of the dams, crane and other de-mobilisation of the site. 

We hope to re-open the navigation by 4pm on Thursday 25th February. 

Thank you for your patience.

Unfortunately we will require an additional week to complete the works at Lock 6 as progress has been severely hampered by high water levels and flooding on site. 

We will do everything we can to complete the works by Friday 19th February.

Carry out works including replacement of the top and bottom gates, together with masonry and stonework repairs.
