Following further local consultation and by re-programming the working hours of our construction teams, we are pleased to confirm we will be able to shorten the stoppage at Caen Hill Flight by one week. 

The navigation will now re-open on 19th March 2021.

Description

Carry at works on the Caen Hill Flight as follows: 

Lock 40 - Reline and repairs of top and bottom gates to reduce leakage. 

Lock 39 - Repairs to the top gate to reduce leakage and repairs to the bridge decking. 

Lock 38 - Repair and reline the top gate and repair the bottom gate to reduce leakage. 

Lock 37 - Repairs to top and bottom gates to reduce leakage. 

Caen Hill Pumping Station, Lock 22 - Repairs and improvements to the pumping station.
