Unfortunately we have encountered unavoidable delays installing the new gates at Lock 89 which means there is insufficient time to move plant and equipment to Lock 87 and still complete the repairs there before Christmas.
As a result, the work at Lock 87 will be deferred until next winter.
We expect work will be completed at Lock 89, and the navigation opened, by the end of the day on Monday 14th December.
