We need an additional week to complete the installation of the new stop plank grooves at Glasson Basin Lock. This is to allow for modifications to the design and installation of the grooves.
The navigation will now re-open on 19th March 2021.
Description
A stoppage will be required to enable the installation of stop plank grooves, so that the lock can be drained in the future to allow gate repairs. This is a provisional stoppage at present pending further investigations of a suitable design and methodology.
