I am unsure from the description given what works are required at this lock but the fact this stoppage is running concurrently with those at Misterton means restricted access to pump out facilities through the winter for boats at Clayworth ad Retford.
While it is unlikley to affect us personally I doubt we could wind easily below Bridge 44A in our 60' boat. Having done it many, many times in Python I know how silted up that winding hole is and the risk of getting a load of rubbish on the prop would make it something I would want to avoid.

The concurrent timing of the stoppages at Osberton and Misterton prevents all boats based between these two locations (including the boating hubs of Clayworth and Retford) from accessing either of the two pump-out facilities on the canal (Shireoaks and West Stockwith). The work content detailed is sketchy in the extreme, so it is not possible for the duration of the stoppage to be evaluated. The upstream winding hole is not viable for many boats in its current condition.
