Midland Metro Alliance has confirmed they will no longer require their programmed pre-Christmas closure due to issues with the supply of steelwork for the bridge.
However, they still require the navigation to be closed after Christmas, as previously planned, from 4th January to 7th February 2021.
Description
As part of the Wednesbury to Brierley Hill Metro extension, Midland Metro Alliance (MMA) has requested a closure to carry out repairs to the bridge to make it ready to take the new metro line.
Please note, the canal will be re-opened temporarily for navigation over the Christmas period, from 12th December 2020 until 3rd January 2021.
