Cheshire Cat Training
Learn to handle a narrowboat safely and confidently! We offer informal training courses to suit all abilities. If you are thinking of buying a boat, why not enrol on our two day "Life Afloat Experience" course, where you will learn not only how to handle your boat, but also get good advice on the practicalities of buying and owning a boat. You will spend two days cruising, including sleeping aboard and cooking if you wish. A fabulous introduction to the world of canals and narrowboats. We also offer one day courses for novices, refresher days, and single-handing tuition.
If your newly acquired boat is a complete mystery, you can invite our engineer for a "know your boat" half day. You can ask as many questions as you like, and he will show you how everything on your boat works, and how to keep it running smoothly.
Should you wish to undertake your own engine servicing, you can take a half day diesel engine maintenance course, where our engineer will supervise you while you learn how to service your boat's engine.
