Light Night Leeds

Light Night Leeds is the UK’s largest annual arts and light festival and returns on 13th and 14th October 2022 from 18:30 - 22:30.

For the past 17 years, over two incredible nights in October, some of Leeds’s most recognisable indoor and outdoor spaces have been transformed by spectacular artworks and captivating performances by local, national and international artists.

Light Night Leeds invites people to see the city in a new light and discover free arts events across the city centre. From large-scale light projections and interactive installations, to music, dance and street performances, there is always something for everyone!

Infinity Pools Artist: Studio Vertigo (UK) Location: Granary Wharf, Leeds LS1 4GL Thursday & Friday, 6.30pm – 10.30pm What 3 Words: ///start.snake.regard

Floating circular mirror sculptures transform into endless light tunnels at Granary Wharf like portals in time and space that are revealed only in the evenings.  The multi-coloured Infinity lights vary in size and will be placed around the docks with the dramatic effect of appearing to descend deep into the water. The artworks play with the visual experience that observers feel when close to the sculptures, if close enough they could be pulled inside, drawn downward into voids where time and space appear absent and still.
