Hugh Henshall Tripboat
The Hugh Henshall is run by the Chesterfield Canal Trust and is crewed by fully qualified volunteers.
No ordinary vessel, it is fully accessible for the disabled, with an electro-hydraulic system to enable any user to steer the boat from anywhere within it, regardless of disability.
It runs walk-up trips every Sunday from April to October, starting at the Lock Keeper pub in Worksop.
It runs occasional special trips, e.g. up the Giant's Staircase to Kiveton Park; see the website for details.
It also runs charters all year round. It costs £50 per hour to hire the boat. It can carry up to 12 passengers.
Santa Special trips every weekend from the start of December to Christmas (£7 for all). Booking essential, bookings open in September.
