Tapton Lock Visitor Centre
We have a small shop which sells hot and cold drinks, ice cream and snacks. We also have a good selection of gifts, maps and books.
The Visitor Centre is a great place to start exploring the Chesterfield Canal and the Trans-Pennine Trail southern link.
We have a display about the canal and its history plus other leaflets; self guided walks and information about the area.
Chesterfield Canal Trust volunteers run Boat Trips from the Visitor Centre on Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays through the summer months, with Santa Special Trips at weekends in December.
