Tinsley Flight Gate 2 replacement works

Phase 1 of the works has been completed early, therefore lock passage will be available from Tuesday 26th April allowing three days for lock passage.

Please be aware that Phase 1 of the works have been delayed by one week due to difficulties sealing the stop logs with the tail gates quoins.

The revised program is to now complete phase 1 of the works by Wednesday 27th of April allowing two days for lock passage.  

The locks will then be closed on Friday 29th April for a three week period to finalise the works. We are consulting with customers directly affected by the revised program and will keep them updated on progress.

Gate replacement works at Lock 2 (top and bottom gates)

Phase 1 works commencing w/c 4th April

First part of works will finish to allow the navigation to re-open on Thursday 21st, Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd April.

Phase 2 works: The lock will be dewatered again on the 24th of April.

The Lock will be re-opened on the 12th May following the completion of the 2nd phase of the works
