Please be advised additional external funding has been made available and the towpath works are still on-going.

However the towpath will be accessible.

Additional funding has been agreed by the Three Rivers District Council and the works completion date has been extended to 18 June 2016.

For the duration of the works sections, of the towpath will be closed as they are being worked on. Please refer to on site signage for information on the diversion route.

Description

Towpath resurfacing works will be taking place on the Grand Union Canal, starting from Bridge 158, Water Lane and working towards Bridge 156, Railway, Kings Langley.

Works will commence from Monday 22 February 2016 and will be completed by Wednesday 18 May 2016.

For the duration of the works sections of the towpath will be closed as they are being worked on. Please refer to on site signage for information on the diversion route.

Navigation will be open.
