River Rescue are currently pumping the boat out having safely positioned in the lock. They expect to have the lock fully cleared and back open by 14:00 21/07/24

River rescue are currently on site and have assessed the situation and devised a recovery method.

The expect to have the lock cleared by 15:00 21/07/24.

A further update will be posted at 13:00 advising on whether this estimated time is likely to change.

Description

An unfortunate incident has happened at Lock 13 Tilstone, whereby we have a sunken boat in the lock and we have had to close the navigation until it is recovered.

We are currently waiting on a ETA from River Rescue Service on when they can complete the recovery. This notice will be updated again at 11:00 on 21/07/24 with a further update on recovery.
