Updates

A 0.5km section of the Wendover Arm has been closed to alleviate continual water losses on the network and to support a dewatered investigation of canal.

The extent of the affected area is from the winding hole to the former stop lock near Tringford Pump House. This means there is a restriction on the craft length that can enter and turn as the winding hole is closed.
Any craft longer than 40ft can not navigate the arm.

Craft equal to 40ft or smaller can use the opening at the Tring Feeder for turning. We anticipate this restriction shall continue through the winter stoppage season and we apologise for any inconvenience.

Description

The Wendover Arm is closed for navigation, stop planks are in place and access to the winding hole is not possible. This closure currently has no end date but notices will be updated as soon as possible.
