The refurbishment works to the footbridge will be completed today and the bridge re-opened.

The Local Authority work to replace this footbridge has been delayed and is now scheduled to be completed on 8th December.
We will update the notice when we have further information or by 8th December, whichever is soonest.

The visitor mooring pedestrian access to and from Saxilby village, via the footbridge, will be unavailable due to the Local Authority removing the bridge for refurbishment works.
There is alternative access to the visitor moorings available from the A57 Gainsborough Road via a flight of steps. However, ramped access to the moorings is unfortunately not available while this work is taking place.
Local Authority Information notices have been supplied at the bridge location and are attached to the temporary fencing.
Saxilby visitor mooring streetlights have been turned off for the duration of these works. The streetlight power supply is via the footbridge. The cable has been disconnected while the bridge is taken away for refurbishment and will be reconnected when the bridge is returned.
Visitor mooring customers should be aware of reduced night time visibility along the mooring paths and take suitable mitigation measures.
We have been advised that they aim to complete this work by the 31st October, and we will update the website by this point or as soon as we have further information.
