A new gearbox has been installed and the bridge is open for navigation traffic.

Contractors are carrying out works today on the bridge. They have left it open this morning. It will be closed this afternoon whilst the gearbox is installed. Works are continuing and we are expecting the bridge to be open to all traffic tomorrow. A new update will be provided then.

The new gearing mechanism will be installed on Friday the 16th of June. The bridge will be closed on this day to allow the installation.
The present opening times of 08:00 to 17:00 will remain in place until Thursday.

A temporary gearing mechanism has been installed. An operative from the Rodley Bridge Management Company will be on site between 8am and 5pm to assist boaters. Passage outside of these times will not be possible.
A further update will be provided on Monday the 12th of June.
