Description
The lock by-weir culvert at Lock 4 is blocked and requires investigation and specialist cleaning to rectify. In order to do this, the water level below the lock will need to be dropped and the end of the culvert exposed, so the canal will be out of use during the day between Lock 3 and Lock 4.
The work is only planned for 1 day and is timed for a Saturday due to road works in the local area affecting access to the lock on weekdays. As soon as works are completed and water levels restored, the canal will be reopened.
