Description
Vegetation clearance will be carried out by contractors on behalf of the Environment Agency, between the 1st March and the 30th April. This will take place along the towpath, East of Torksey Lock, to just past Fenton Village.
They will be carrying out badger sett mitigation works, which include artificial sett installation, installation of mesh bank protection, reinstatement of earth flood bank and repairs to the rutted earth bank crest.
Towpath users are asked to stop at the temporary works compound fencing and wait for a member of the contracted team to escort you safely to the other side.
Slight delays may be experienced, but please be patient and wait to be advised accordingly.
