Our contractors have started the works at Bramcote Bridge, which has involved clearing the vegetation from the north offside approach to the Bridge.
Clearing the vegetation has revealed that further parts of the bridge also require replacing and additional work is required.
The closure has been extended for another week to accommodate this additional work and the planned completion date is now the 27th March.

Our contractors will be carrying out urgent repairs to the arch face and fendering of Bramcote road bridge on the Ashby Canal. These works are necessary to ensure structural integrity of the bridge .
Works will commence on the 13th of March and will take approximately a week to complete. If there are any changes to this, we will update the website accordingly.
Works will be carried via a powered pontoon and the bridge will have specialist items in place to support the masonry and brick work. This will mean that boats will not be able to navigate under the bridge for the duration of the works.
