Please be advised due to the recent cold weather, the works have been delayed and will be completed on 3rd March.
Please be advised third party contractors will be onsite between Railway Bridges 124A and 124C on the Leeds and Liverpool Canal.
The third-party contractors are working on behalf of the Lancashire County Council and they will be carrying out repairs to the adjacent retaining boundary wall which runs parallel with Accrington Road.
The works will be undertaken from the carriageway side of the wall, however a narrow edge protection scaffold platform will be installed on the offside canal bank.
Whilst the navigation will remain open, we politely ask customers to approach the area with caution, please take note of the signage and listen to any advice that may be given by the third-party contractors onsite.
