After extensive investigations, the contractors at Bridge 3 to Bridge 4 have been unable to resolve the leak.
We have taken the decision to demobilise that team and re open the navigation between Lock 1 and Lock 7 to allow boaters to return back to moorings for winter from Monday 24th October.

Due to the grouting works and repairs to the leak issue that is currently being undertaken, we are to advise that it is both the navigation and the towpath that are closed between Bridge 4, Longbottom Bridge and Bridge 3, High Royd Bridge.
As this work is still ongoing, we are extending the closure up to and including Friday 21st October.

Grouting works are still being carried out and inspections to find if there are any further voids that need grouting. They have found a particular void and have began working on this, on the expectation that this will resolve the leak issue that is currently being experienced by neighbours.
As this work is still ongoing we have to extend the finishing date to be and inclusive of Friday 21st October.
We will update the notice should the expected date change.

The grouting works are still being carried out and unfortunately we have had to extend the finishing date until the following Friday. It will be and inclusive of Friday 14th October.

We are still carrying out the repairs at Bridge 3 and we are hoping to have the works finished by and inclusive of Friday 7th October.
We will update the notice if the projected date alters.

A clay embankment is being built to prevent further leakage through the existing embankment. This has therefore extended the duration of the works.
We are hoping to have the works completed by and inclusive of Wednesday 28th September.
