Our contractors continue to source and fabricate the specialist replacement parts to repair Bridge 24, Wood End Lift Bridge on the Peak Forest Canal. Until we have all the parts required, we are unable to start any works on the bridge.

It is anticipated it could take a further 2 weeks to source the replacement parts, followed by 1 week to repair the bridge. The works will then need to be signed off by a structural engineer in order to put this bridge back in operation. We will endeavour to advance on this timeframe and as soon as we have any further information regarding a start date for the repairs, we will provide a further update.
