The bin has been removed and boaters can now proceed as normal.
Due to vandalism, a large Biffa bin has been dumped into the Nottingham Beeston Canal, just up from Carrington Street Bridge.
Our local team have been out on site today, but were unable to remove it. They have secured it on the nearby moorings, and have taped off the area. This is located opposite the boat Megan & Tinks.
Boaters are asked not to moor at the highlighted area until the bin has been removed.
We are liaising with the owners of the bin, to try and resolve this as quickly as possible.
We will update the website as soon as we have more information and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
