Lock 7 - restricted opening times to reduce affects of the leak - Open from 9am to 3pm

Lock 7 has been reopened and there is no passage restrictions timings in place.

We will continue to monitor the lock regarding any leakage issues.

Description

We are however experiencing a persistent leak through the head gate at Lock 7 and we want to ensure that we are reducing the risk of low water levels returning.

As a short term measure, until the leak can be further investigated and a suitable repair established, Lock 7 will be open for passage from 9am to 3pm only, with last entry through the lock being 3pm.

Outside of these hours the lock will be chained up and we will ash the gate at the end of each day to help ensure leakage is reduced overnight. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
