We are pleased to advise the team have completed the repairs to Lock 60, Boarshaw Lock on the Rochdale canal without the need for a closure.

Due to the ongoing low water resources available, we have taken the decision to fully repair Lock 60, Boarshaw Lock on the Rochdale Canal in the winter months, when we are more likely to have enough water to replenish the pound.
Whilst navigation is possible, we advise all customers to operate the lock with care.
Notice will be provided nearer the time.

Our local operations team have now come up with a method of repair for Lock 60, Boarshaw Lock on the Rochdale Canal and have started gathering the required materials and equipment.
They are now working on the necessary safe systems of work and hope to have this in place within the next 2 weeks.
Whilst navigation is possible, we advise all customers to operate the lock with care.
A further update will be provided Friday 12 August.

We are pleased to advise our teams have completed further works to resume wide beam access through Lock 60, Boarshaw Lock on the Rochdale Canal.
Whilst completing a repair today, our team found additional issues which require further planning and our teams are now working together to organise a method of repair.
Whilst navigation is possible, we advise all customers to operate the lock with care and a further update will be provided by Friday 29 July.

Please be advised, whilst we await the manufacture of the new parts in order to repair the broken paddle at Lock 60 Boarshaw on the Rochdale Canal, navigation is restricted to narrowboat access only.
Wide beam access will not be possible due to a bottom gate paddle remaining out of operation following the temporary repair.
A further update will be provided Wednesday 22 June.

Please be advised navigation has resumed at Lock 60 Boarshaw on the Rochdale Canal following a temporary repair to the broken paddle.
Whilst navigation is possible, please note only one bottom gate paddle is in operation whilst we await the manufacture of the new parts.
A further update will be provided by Friday 17 June.
