We are sorry to advise that this stoppage is being removed from the winter works programme. We have to constantly review our priorities and having already assigned additional budget to the grouting programme to accommodate additional works, this project has been re-prioritised to accommodate higher priority works.

We will be rescheduling these works into a future winter programme.

Again, we are sorry for this change and we hope that this doesn’t cause any inconvenience to our boating customers.

Description

A stoppage is required to carry out the following on both Locks 83 and 68 at Wigan. 

                                                                                                                                                                                                              Resin grouting will be put behind the lock walls to fill up any voids and prevent deterioration of the lock structure.
