We would like to inform you that we have needed to remove this restriction from our winter stoppage programme.
Hydraulic parts required to carry out the works have not been made available. We hope to complete these works later in the year and with a revised methodology that will mitigate the need for a stoppage/restriction.
We apologise for the late notice of this update.
Description
A canal restriction is required for the installation of hydraulics to allow the bridge to be raised and lowered manually via turning of a handle. Boat passage through the bridge narrows will be possible three times a day (exact timings will be confirmed closer to the date)
