Updates

02/02/2023 15:24

We would like to advise our customers that the start date of this navigation restriction will be pushed back a week. Now starting on 13/02/2023. This is to allow the ongoing winter works at Culverts 29 and 31 to be completed.

The end date of this restriction remains 17/03/2023. Boaters may need to wait up to an hour whilst this restriction is in place.

18/01/2023 08:35

We apologise for the lateness of this information. As advised in our last update, we have more information for our boating customers.

Following a review of this project, we can scale back the duration of this restriction which will shorten any disruption to our boating customers.

The start date will now be 06/02/2023. The end date is unaffected.

Please note that boaters may need to wait for up to an hour for passage whilst this restriction is in place.

14/12/2022 14:58

We are pleased to advise that we no longer require a stoppage to complete the works and we can carry out the repairs under a shorter restriction.

The scope of works to the offside waterway wall above Aqueduct 10, are not as large as originally anticipated. For this reason, a full navigation stoppage will not be required from 3 January 2023 until 17 March 2023.

A restriction to navigation will be in place between Monday 9 January 2023 until Friday 10 March 2023.

Boats may be held up for about one hour at a time whilst works are taking place, we will provide more details in the New Year and we will update the notice to advise further

Description

A stoppage is required to carry out some concrete/leakage repairs to the canal lining.
