CRT & Sustrans are working in partnership to improve the Lias Line Greenway which forms part of the National Cycle Network (NC41) to replace the 700 metre towpath section between Bridge 25 which commences at the Two Boats Inn public house and finishes at the access steps by Bridge 26A that lead up and on to the Lias Line. The towpath will be closed between these bridges stated for the duration of the works, and the nearest points either side of the closure to access the towpath during those periods will be either at Bascote Bridge or from the Two Boats Inn.

The wider scheme will form part of Warwickshire's largest (8.5km) traffic-free "greenway" connecting Leamington Spa and the Grand Union Canal at Long Itchington. The main purpose of this project is to provide a surfaced path which will be accessible to everyone, whether they're walking, cycling, using a wheelchair or pushing a pram and suitable to be used in all-weather conditions.

Description

Navigation will remain open.

The towpath and cycle access ramp will be closed as they are being refurbished. These works are being carried in partnership with Sustrans as part of the regional programme to improve the National Cycle Network.

Moorings will be closed for the duration of construction between Bridge 25 & Bridge 26A.
