Please be advised third-party contractors will be onsite between Bridge 130A, Walker Hey Footbridge and Bridge 130B, Manchester Road Bridge on the Leeds & Liverpool canal to carry out essential works to a collapsed Boundary wall of a third party owned building, where a section of the wall has fallen within the canal and is restricting navigation on the offside. Due to the stonework in the canal a width restriction will be in place along this length. We politely request Boaters to keep to the towpath side of the navigation on approach to the works.
