Please note, this lock will close to navigation on Monday 6 February till, and inclusive of, Friday 17 March, to allow our teams to carry out the repairs as part of the Winter Works Programme. You can see more on this here:

Description

Please be advised the towpath side headgate at Lock 85 on the Rochdale Canal remains padlocked out of use whilst a repair is being organised. Due to this, wide beams will not be able to pass through the lock and use of the lock is restricted to narrowboats only.

Please use the offside headgate only.
