Overhead power line crossing upstream of Bridge 13 - Nottingham & Beeston Canal

Due to a change in methodology driven by an assessment of the overhead equipment these works have been extended by a further 4 weeks.

Contractors Babcocks, working on behalf of Western Power Distribution, will be replacing the overhead power cable crossing the canal upstream of Bridge 13 (railway Bridge) near Castle Marina. 

While these works should not impact the navigation or towpath, there may be personnel and equipment working overhead on the power lines, and banksmen present on the towpath to manage to works around our users. 

Users may be asked to wait briefly by a banksman while the works are halted and made safe overhead.  

Be aware of the works and be aware of any advice given on-site by the contractors.
