Description

As part of a project to repaint 7 bridges along the canal, Westcott Coatings (working on behalf of Nottingham City Council) will be cleaning and repainting Carrington Street bridge.

Due to the available space along the towpath under the bridge, it is necessary to temporarily close the towpath and divert users via Carrington Street/Station Street/Trent Street while the works over the towpath are undertaken.

We have worked with Nottingham City Council and the Contractor to minimise the length of time this closure is required.

A signed diversion will be in place to direct the public around the works.

Note that the towpath will remain open between Carrington Street and Trent Street, but users will not be able to pass under Carrington street while works are ongoing. However we are taking the opportunity of the closure to implement some other Third Party Works (trial pits and hoarding) along this stretch during this closure.

Please wait and follow the directions of the staff/contractors that will be present on-site.
