We can now confirm that the navigation is open

Repair works to the c-irons will be taking place on Tuesday the 8th of June, with a crane being moved onsite from 8am.

These repairs are expected to take up most of the day with the navigation opening once these repairs are completed.

04/06/2021 13:23

Following on from the Engineers Inspection it has been established that the bridge is unsafe to operate and will remain closed until further notice.

Updates as to repair dates will be provided early next week.

Mooring is heavily congested in this area and we would advise visitors to look at mooring spaces further along the navigation.

An alternative navigational route may be taken from Dukes Cut Lock 44a and Isis Lock 46. River Licencing will apply if this route is taken.

Description

Due to a suspected bridge strike and damage to the bridge by a third party, we require the bridge to remain in the down position until our Engineers have inspected
this fully.
